Aqua.

Stopped by the Belle Isle Aquarium today. They just recently re-opened their doors to the public. Snapped a few photos of the sea-life, but couldn't stay long because I was actually doing another shoot at the time. I'll be visiting again real soon when I have more time to enjoy the aquarium.

Trailer: jSTOCK - The Trap Pt. 2

Back in April jSTOCK of FreeNation made his first visit to Detroit. I showed him around the city, took him to all parts of the city. Showed him the good, the bad, and ugly. We then shot a video for his single The Trap Pt. 2 off of his upcoming project. Look out for the official video dropping very soon along with his highly anticipated project.

Around The Way: Dee Lo

Around the way with Dee Lo the other day. These photos gave me a cool laid back California vibe. The black and white along with the dark contrast really gave these photos life, and especially brought out the tattoo work. I might have get a couple of these printed out and make them available for sale.

SHUMP DAY

Another year. Another great time documenting the 4th Annual Iman Shumpert Basketball Camp sponsored by Adidas. When JustxFred gave me the call to see if I would be able to document the camp with him for a second year, it was no question in my mind. I had to do it. The kids and coaches worked well together, and when It came for the Q & A they had some tough questions for Iman. Big ups to Q for running yet another successful year of the camp and also to the coaches who spent time which each and every kid to make sure their game improved. And special recognition for Iman for being there all day everyday for the 3 days and really interacting with the kids. I can tell by their faces they truly appreciated it. Below is the recap video that was directed, shot, edited, and photographed by me and @justxfred. Music by Louis "@bo404" Jackson. Also check out www.shumpcamp.tumblr.com ENJOY!

Around The Way: Will

Picked up a 40oz yesterday and hit the streets shooting with some of my creative homies. Here's a few shots I got of Will, who's an upcoming producer here in Detroit.

Create Space: Donald L. Robinson

Yesterday I stopped by my grandparents' apartment in downtown Detroit. The atmosphere in their place is amazing. Filled with books, art, jazz music, and vintage photos of family. I stayed for hours conversing with them and enjoyed some lamb and good wine. Every time I go over there I find some kind of inspiration to create.

my grandma made the lamb to perfection.

even pour.

Today: Shump Camp

Today was the first day of Iman Shumpert's "Shump Camp" in Oak Park. The turn out was great and the kids came in energized and ready to play. A full day of shooting and capturing some great moments of the kids doing drills, playing 3 on 3, and interacting with Iman. Later on Shumpert held a one day camp for special needs children at River Forest Community Center. It was cool to see the excitement level of the kids when they met him. Two more days to document the camp!

Today: Chicago

My homie Fred showed me around the westside of Chicago then when headed downtown to get some city shots. 3 hours of walking downtown and exploring, and we only covered about 20% of the area. Shot some familiar places and found a few new ones too. Tomorrow after shooting Iman's summer basketball camp I hope to get some more exploring done in the city.

Chicago: Arrival

I just arrived in Chicago about few hours ago. The ride and scenery from Detroit to Chicago is always nice. I'll be here until Wednesday getting shots in the city and covering (along with @JustxFred) Cavs guard Iman Shumpert's annually basketball camp. Last year was amazing so I can only imagine what is store for this year. A few essentials for when I go out shooting; Macbook Pro, iPhone 6, Nikon D600, Rode Microphone, and Adidas Pure Boost Running Shoes.

Create Space: Andy

My friend Andy is in town from L.A. So the other day while I had some free time we went to my gallery space to get some photos. The natural light that shined in the building was perfect at that time of day. The white walls and concrete floors definitely give off a lot of character. My creative space is in the works, but I'm excited about the progression I've made over the past few months and can't wait until it's all done.
