Dreamin'

A couple weeks ago my brother Jermaine Clark had his solo art exhibition show in Atlanta, GA. The vibes were great. A lot good people and Jermaine's art was phenominal. Check the recap shot by @justxfred and I. Music by Louis Jackson. If you're in the Atlanta area make sure you stop by Gallery L1 to check out the show while it's still up through March.

THE FUTURE: 2016 McDONLD'S ALL AMERICAN GAMES

Last week I had the privilege of covering the McDonald's All American Games in Chicago. The games feature the top high school players in the country. Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and Derrick Rose have all played in the game, so you can imagine excitement level for me to capture these young stars. Each day was filled with excitement and moments to shoot. Day 1 started with the arrival of the players getting their jerseys and hanging out in the Adidas room. The game jerseys and shoes were on display once you walked in. Day 2 was practice with NBA scouts watching the players every move. On day 3 the Chicago Theater hosted the Powerade Jam Fest which consisted of a 3 point shoot-out and (my personal favorite) dunk contest. The final day was the big game at the United Center. It was my second time being in the arena but last time I was way up in the bleachers for a Drake concert lol. This time I was on the floor court-side capturing the game. The week went by fast but I enjoyed every moment. Even got to meet Jalen Rose after the game. Stayed a few more days afterwards to explore the city and hang out with my uncle. Special thanks to SLAM Magazine and Adidas for the opportunity. Check out the video below that me and Fred put together of our time documenting the week.

Around The Way: Jewell Bell

A couple weeks ago Jewell hit me up wanting to do a shoot for her 23rd birthday. She already had the theme and vision in mind and believed I would execute it, which I think I did a good at doing lol. 2 hours of shooting, laughter, and listening to music. Thanks Jewell for allowing me to capture these moments.

BROOKLYN!

Birthplace of Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, Spike Lee, MC Lyte, Mos Def, Jay-Z, and of course the Notorious B.I.G. Brooklyn was one of the places I was most excited to visit. So many cultures, art, and people . We walked around a few neighborhoods, made our way to the famous Fulton St. then checked out Barclays Center, The Brooklyn Museum,  and capped off the day by going to the Brooklyn bridge. It was so much to absorb in that day, from the large Jewish community to murals around the city. Brooklyn was defintely one of my favorite experiences while visiting New York. Rest in Heaven BIG!

Around The Way: Will + Ryan

Yesterday I linked up with Will and Ryan to get some shots around the city. Will had on a classic Pelle Pelle coat and Ryan wanted to get shots for Beats By Dre. It was a quick shoot but effective. We first went downtown then headed over to the New Center area to finish the rest of the shoot.

Underground.

New York's subway system is like a different world. The underground subways are the fastest ways of travel to the different burroughs. Our longest trip was from Queens to Harlem. While on the subway you see so many different people on and waiting for the train. It wasn't as hard to maneuver from one train to another. Got confused the first day, but by the end of the trip I had down packed. The one thing I don't think I would ever get used to is the huge rats on the tracks and platforms. Especially when we took that train back to Queen from Manhattan at 5 am. Luckily I was too tired at the point to even care, but still those rats are a no go for me lol.

In The Studio: Shannon Cason & Family

This past weekend Shannon came to the studio with his family. He wanted me capture some images to promote his podcast. Shannon and I have been working on a special project with WDET that I'm excited to share in the upcoming months. To learn more about Shannon and his awesome stories check out his website www.shannoncason.com

In The Studio: Carmen

Carmen is a model, singer, videographer, and graphic designer. She was recently in Pusha T's "MPA" music video featuring ASAP Rocky and The Dream. Late last year Carmen contacted me about wanting to do a shoot for a art project she was working on. After discussing the ideas and direction she wanted to go, we scheduled the shoot for early January. Shot for about 2 hours and captured some great images. Head over to Carmen's instagram to check out the art she created with the photos I took.
